Emilia was born in Poland and emigrated with her parents and brother to the US when she was nine. Always a city dweller, she has always been intrigued by the mystery of nature and animals as part of rural life, and explores that mystery in her art. Virginia was born in the state of New York but spent most of her life at the Jersey shore before moving to NYC in 1995. She studied digital design at Pratt Manhattan after extensive studio work in more traditional fine arts media at Parsons School of Design, the Arts Students League and Montclair State University. She has exhibited her drawings, paintings, prints and digital art in galleries, juried shows and art festivals in NY and NJ. Constance Deacon-Larkin
Constance began her love of art as a child. Encouraged by teachers, she won a scholarship to study at Rochester's Memorial Art Gallery while still in grammar school. She was inspired to begin painting watercolors from travels she has made and is particularly inspired by the works of J.M.W. Turner and the French Impressionists. Jesse is an artist based in Queens. He was formerly an ice cream cake maker at Carvel. He was in charge of writing birthday (and funeral) messages with colored sugar gel in cursive (a skill he barely learned in grade school). Also under his charge was the task of mopping floors and cleaning out the ice cream machines with hot water. Jesse diligently performed these tasks at every shift with no fanfare. He was later fired. Scott is an artist based in Woodside who uses latex and acrylic paint to create intricate images of animals, parading in a web of corners and crisp lines. The paintings explore the dynamic nature of curves and spaces as they converge to create a lattice of intertwining shapes and colors. Lenuta (Nuty) Donikian

Simon is based in Woodside. In 1970 he graduated from the Institute of Cartographic Design in Bucharest, Romania, and emigrated to NY the following year. In 1985 he chose Queens cityscapes as his major subject. He has had over 45 shows. His work is in the permanent collections of the New York Historical Society and Museum and the Museum of the City of New York. He states: “Visual art has to do its own silent speaking -- first on the wall of the show, then on the wall of the owner. Pat is an artist and designer. Dorfman founded SunnysideArtists in 2007. Pat attended SVA and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Tricia is a self taught artist who was honored to receive scholarships to the Art Student's League twice. She stopped painting for twenty years due to work and family commitments but started again in 2011 and what amazed her is how her work matured inside of her. Constructed from stolen and found objects, his complex, collage-drawing installations challenge the obsessive consumerism and social stratification of American culture. Hinojosa received his BFA from Parsons School of Design and was awarded residencies at both the Vermont Studio Center and Aljira Center for Contemporary Art. His acceptance into the first ever New York Foundation for the Arts Boot Camp in 2010 led to an appearance on the cover of the New York Times. Hinojosa’s exhibitions include Cuchifritos Project Place (New York), Queens Museum of Art (New York), Arteria (Shanghai) and a recent solo exhibition at Allegra LaViola Gallery (New York). Luke is a self-taught artist working in sculpture. Using his technically advanced skills in fabrication and the method of direct metal sculpting, he translates his emotions into art. He creates sculptures that are free-form and impulsive; and others that are meticulously planned out, using sketches, models and templates. Luke is a self-taught artist working in sculpture. Using his technically advanced skills in fabrication and the method of direct metal sculpting, he translates his emotions into art. He creates sculptures that are free-form and impulsive; and others that are meticulously planned out, using sketches, models and templates. KC Trommer
KC is an NYC-based collage artist and poet. A graduate of the MFA program at the University of Michigan, she has received the Academy of American Poets Prize and has won fellowships from the Center for Book Arts, the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, the Prague Summer Program and the Vermont Studio Center. Her collage work has been featured in group and solo shows in Ann Arbor and NY. Though primarily self-taught, KC has studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and SVA and Parsons in NY.
